Moses Patrou is a New York–based singer, Hammond organist, and songwriter whose music blends soul, blues, and groove-driven rhythm in the tradition of classic American roots music. Known for his powerful vocals and commanding presence at the Hammond organ, Patrou brings an honest, groove-centered approach to songwriting and live performance.
A dynamic bandleader with a natural and easy flow, Patrou leads performances that emphasize feel, musical interplay, and strong storytelling. His sound draws on soul, blues, and rhythm-driven traditions while maintaining a contemporary edge rooted in groove and song.
His album "Confession of a Fool" highlights his strengths as both a vocalist and songwriter, pairing emotionally direct lyrics with soulful arrangements and tight band performances. The record reflects Patrou’s belief that great songs are built on honesty, restraint, and feel.
Patrou has performed across the United States and Europe, including appearances at the renowned North Sea Jazz Festival. Whether leading a full band or delivering a more stripped-down performance, he brings a timeless energy and deep musical connection to the stage.
“I’ve been coming to the Jersey City Jazz Festival for years, so it’s especially exciting to be performing this year. It’s truly a spectacular event.”
